Creates an Afrofuturist space of engagement for the community, (APL – Afrofuturist Performance Lab), encouraging a more just equitable Memphis through performing and literary arts. Our purpose is to engage intergenerational audiences while increasing community and civic engagement among participants. Performers employ improvisation and creative writing components towards visioning sustainable futures which increases resilience as evinced by a shift towards healthier individual beliefs and behaviors among participants.
